Rusty Latch Games

Privacy Policy

Version 2026-09-30  ·  Effective date: September 30, 2026  ·  Last updated: September 30, 2026

1. Who We Are & What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Rusty Latch Games LLC ("Rusty Latch Games," "we," "us") handles information in connection with our website, rustylatchgames.com, and our mobile games (together, the "Services"). Our games are built to keep your data on your device. Any exceptions to this are noted in this Privacy Policy document. At this time, the limited collection that does occur is described below. Product-specific details appear in Schedule A at the end of this policy.

2. Our Website

Our website is a simple informational site. There are no accounts, sign-ups, or forms. When you visit, the following applies.

Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used. For example, we can see which pages are visited, the type of device and browser used, and visitors' approximate region. Google Analytics sets cookies and uses pseudonymous online identifiers to distinguish visitors. We use this information only in aggregate, to guide game development and marketing; we do not use it to identify you. Where consent is required (for example, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), Google Analytics runs only if you accept it through the cookie notice on our site, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Privacy choices" link in the site footer. You can learn how Google processes this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Our website does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals; the cookie notice on our site is the control for analytics.

Web fonts. Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google receives your IP address and standard browser information in order to deliver it. Google describes this at developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy.

Hosting. Our website is served from Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and CloudFront). Like most hosting infrastructure, AWS processes standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, request time, and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site. This information may also be recorded in server logs used for security, troubleshooting, and keeping the site running.

3. Our Games

Our games are designed to work without sending us your data. Unless a product's entry in Schedule A says otherwise, gameplay stays on your device, and apart from the acceptance records described below, any data collection that does occur comes from the third-party advertising and purchase services described in Sections 4 and 5.

Game progress and settings. Your game progress, settings, and purchase entitlements are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, receive, or store this data on our systems. Deleting the game from your device deletes this data.

Acceptance records. When a game asks you to accept our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, we keep a record of that acceptance so that we can show the agreement was made and which version you accepted. The record contains a random installation identifier created by the game on your device (not an advertising or hardware identifier), the date and time (as reported by your device and as received by our server), the versions of the documents you accepted (including a cryptographic fingerprint of each document's text), the game and its version, the platform you are playing on (for example, iOS or Android), your IP address, and the technical identification string your device sends with the request. Acceptance records are stored on our systems hosted by Amazon Web Services, are used only to establish or defend legal claims and to keep the Services secure, to determine whether you need to accept an updated version, are not used for advertising or analytics, and are not combined with information from our advertising partner.

4. Advertising in Our Games

Ads served by Google AdMob. Our games display advertisements served by Google AdMob (banner ads, interstitial ads, and optional rewarded ads). To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and limit how often you see the same ad, Google automatically collects certain information from your device, which may include device and advertising identifiers, your IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address, general device and app information, and information about your interactions with ads. Where the law requires, ads are personalized only with your consent; otherwise ads are contextual (non-personalized).

Your advertising choices. Where the law requires consent or an opt-out for advertising, we present an in-game privacy message powered by Google's consent platform before ads are shown. Your choices are stored on your device and honored by our advertising partner, and you can review or change them at any time from the game's privacy settings. You can also limit ad personalization in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and Apple Advertising; Android: Settings > Google > Ads). Google describes its handling of this information at policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

5. In-App Purchases

Purchases in our games are processed by the app store you downloaded the game from. Currently, that would be either the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your name, payment details, or billing address. The store provides only the confirmation needed to deliver your purchase, and the record that the game uses is stored on your device. The store's own privacy policy governs its handling of your payment information.

6. When You Contact Us

If you email us or reach out through a store listing or social channel, we receive the contact details and message contents you choose to send. We use them to respond, provide support, and keep reasonable records of our correspondence.

7. How We Share Information

We share information only as described in this policy: with the service providers and platforms that make the Services work - Google, for website analytics, web fonts, in-game advertising, and our email hosting (Google Workspace); Apple and Google, as app distribution and payment platforms; and Amazon Web Services, which hosts our website and stores our acceptance records - with authorities or others where the law requires or permits (for example, to comply with legal process or to protect rights and safety); and in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information until it is updated. We do not sell personal information.

8. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)

Where the laws of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions apply, we process personal information on these legal bases: your consent (for personalized advertising and, where required, analytics cookies), our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Services, showing contextual ads, responding to inquiries, preventing fraud, and keeping records of your acceptance of our Terms of Service so that we can establish or defend legal claims), and performance of a contract (delivering the games, features, and purchases you request). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

9. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy: website analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for the limited period configured in our account (no longer than 14 months); email correspondence is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to handle and document the matter; acceptance records (Section 3) are kept for ten years after your most recent acceptance, or longer if the law requires or a legal claim is pending; and hosting and delivery logs, where enabled, are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting. Information collected by our advertising, analytics, and platform partners is retained under their own policies. Data stored on your device remains there until you delete it.

10. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. These rights may arise under laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, US state privacy laws, and similar laws elsewhere. Because we keep very little information ourselves, many requests are best handled through the controls described in Sections 2 and 4; for anything else, email us at privacy@rustylatchgames.com and we will respond as required by applicable law, after verifying your request. Where the law allows, we may keep acceptance records after a deletion request so that we can establish or defend legal claims. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

We do not sell your personal information. Some U.S. state laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly enough to include an advertising partner's use of device identifiers to personalize ads. Where those laws apply, you can opt out of personalized advertising through the in-game privacy options and the device settings described in Section 4. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

11. Children's Privacy

Our website and games are intended for general audiences and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), and our Terms of Service require users to be at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@rustylatchgames.com and we will delete it.

12. Security

We take reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information we handle, and the third parties we rely on (such as Google and Apple) maintain their own security programs. Payments are handled entirely by the app stores, not by us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Transfers

We are based in the United States and make the Services available worldwide. The service providers named in this policy may process information in the United States and in other countries whose laws may differ from yours. Where required, those providers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for international transfers.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our website and games evolve. The "Last updated" date shows when the current version took effect, and a short change log appears at the end of this policy. For material changes, we will provide more prominent notice (for example, on our website or in-game) before the changes take effect where required. Product-specific details live in Schedule A and may be updated as products change.
